Terms of Service
Last updated: May 9, 2026
By accessing or using UUIDly (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
UUIDly is a free tool, operated by Binay Kumar Gupta, that generates Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs) in your browser using your browser's built-in cryptographic functions. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for general informational and developer use.
2. Permitted use
You may use UUIDs generated by this Service for any lawful purpose — personal projects, commercial software, databases, file naming, session tokens, and so on. No attribution is required.
3. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in a manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the Service without permission.
- Use automated tools to generate excessive traffic that degrades the experience for other users.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we use the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, we make no guarantee that any specific UUID will be unique within your particular system or use case. You are responsible for verifying suitability for your application.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UUIDly and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Third-party content
The Service may display advertisements served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for any transactions you enter into with advertisers.
7. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local law where the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
